Almond Tree, Vincent van Gogh, 1890.

The artist’s world is limitless. It can be found anywhere, far from where he lives or a few feet away. It is always on his doorstep. — Paul Strand

This is the official website of Carrollton High School’s art program, featuring news and updates about what we’re making, studying, and working towards for the year. This site is meant to help you, the student/parent/friend, navigate what is happening in our art classroom. This site will feature each class and will layout curricular objectives and expectations, rubrics, lessons, in-class and out-of-class assignments, and student artwork.

We have a new visual arts teacher, Ms. Katherine Ingui. Ms. Ingui is a recent graduate from the University of Georgia Graduate School, earning a Master’s in Art Education. Ms. Ingui is a Carrollton Alumni, graduating from CHS in 2007. She has lived and worked in Athens, Georgia for the past 6 years, studying ceramics, painting, teaching, and photography, while earning a BFA in Art/Art Education in 2010. Ms. Ingui most recently returned from Cortona, Italy where she studied art and worked in the local Italian schools. She is a former soccer player, and will be coaching soccer for the Lady Trojans alongside Coach E this spring.

This year we are welcoming the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program to CHS. To find out more about IB, please visit the website, www.ibo.org.

Please feel free to contact Ms. Ingui via her email, Katherine.Ingui@carrolltoncityschools.net, if you have any questions.
